Acupuncture??

Has anyone ever tried it? Someone I work with's wife does it for weight loss and stuff...I was just curious.

I tried it before.

I never heard of using it for weight control but I guess it could be possible. Depending on the actual root of the problem.

It works for some people but it is not a one time shot. You may have to go through a series of treatments and then do maintenance depending on your issue.

They do an 'assement'/medical history first. It usually last about 90 minutes or so.

I did it once to quit smoking and after the session, I was so freaked out that I had a cigarette!! lol.. I don't think I tried hard enough though!!

It actually pretty successful for smokers who want to quit.

It does take more than one treatment.

Asian medicine is not like Western medicine.

I've heard some great things about it from people I know. But I do know it takes atleast 6 sessions to see some improvement.

My great uncle was one of the first legal patients of acupuncture in the US. It completely healed his back problems, and he had MASSIVE back problems. If you're interested in the full story of all that, let me know.

Anyway, I'm a big believer in Acupuncture's ability to treat ailments. One of my friends back on LI is a licensed Acupuncturist, if you'd like her contact info.

I went for quite some time for an illness I had. It definitely helped. FM if you want more info. I went to a great guy who learned in China 30 years ago. I know a lot of people who have gone - for various reasons.

Ok - this is my totally jessica simposon moment for the day but I heard acupuncture could be used to increase your cup size! I think there are limits to Asian medicine, but that would be funny!
