ADA photographers...

has anyone used them?
we booked them months ago. the photgrapher who will be doing our wedding told us to call back in the spring to set up e-photos. i have been trying to get in touch with this guy for weeks, to no avail. i finally e-mailed him - his secratary e-mailed me back and told me to call him at a certain time. i did; he was with a client. said he'd e-mail me that night.
good thing i'm not holding my breath, huh?
also... in relation to your wedding, how long before the wedding did you do e-photos? we have been engaged since last summer... booked the photographer this winter. getting married in october. FH and i work opposite schedules. by the time we have some time off together that would cooridinate with the photographer's schedule it will be mid july and i really don't feel like being all sweaty and having frizzy humidity hair in the pics. should i just wait til september?

Sorry I am not using ADA photographers. I did look into them, but I didn't care for them.

Anyway, I wouldn't wait until September to do your e-photos. Especially if your wedding is in October. I did my last August and I am getting married this Saturday. We went to the beach around 7:15 when it was sunset time. We had beautiful pictures. It really wasn't humid and my hair wasn't frizzy. I would worry about that.

I am sure it is annoying and frustrating trying to track down this photographer. But you have to be consistant about it. Especially since you are paying so much money.

We used ADA & could not be happier with them! However, my DH & I did not want to do e-pictures bc we too have opposite schedules & the only time we are really together is the weekends! We were sad about not having the e-shoot bc our wedding pictures made up for them!

In regards to your situation, I would continue to call & see if you can get in touch with your specific photographer! Considering you are getting married in October, you still have time to do your engagement pictures! I would aim more for late august or early September anyway!

I am using ADA, we got engaged Nov of 2004 and did our e-shoot October of 2005 - almost a year later. I wouldn't worry about doing them in July. If you do it in the evening at the beach I don't think it will be that humid out.

We are also using them and we have our e-pics this weekend. We booked them in January.
I would call again and let the person know you are now concerned because of thier lack of response.
It is wedding season so maybe he/she really is busy but it doesnt excuse them not getting back to you. I met a few photographers from there and I loved the all. It was hard picking one.
Also dont let the weather be the deciding factor. You can always do them right at dusk or early in the AM. I was worried about that also until everyone reminded me that I have no control over the weather. Good luck to you

We are using them!! We got engaged in Oct 05 and just had ours done 2 weeks ago. They came out really nice.
We have had no problems with them except for one time we called there and FH got an attitude from the person that answered....anyway now we only deal with Peggy who is super sweet.
I would call again...and not wait til sept.
I am sorry that you are having this issue, but it will get better, they are great to work with. They have done 3 of my friends weddings so far with no problems and they are doing mine plus 2 more of my friends.
