Re: ADA studios

You hear good and bad about all photographers. I am using them, they were nothing but professional with me, and gave me the best deal for my money. I searched around alot, and met with several photogrpahers, and they seemed to be the best fit for me. Two friends have also used them and had nothing but great experiences, and their pics came out great. It is totally a personal decision....you have to meet with photographers and see who you feel most comfortable with....they will be the one vendor who is with you the ENTIRE day. Good luck!

Re: ADA studios

I used ADA and I was not thrilled with my pics. There are entirely too many posed formal shots and they were all in the same places (the lobby). I specifically asked the photographer for more candid type photojournalistic photos and got VERY few of them. I also wanted the photographer to be there while I was getting ready - he showed up just as I was finished getting ready! I e-mailed and mailed a list of pics that I wanted (especially pics with my son which we really didn't get) along with directions to where we were getting ready and the times that the makeup/hair was being done, etc. - they totally ignored all of that - he STILL asked for directions! I wish I had used someone else, but there is little I can do about that now!

My sister used them a few years ago. all of the pics were beautiful and they're were no problems. I'm using them for my wedding. You'll hear different opinions about all vendor's. Unfortunately it's always the bad that sticks out the most! They've been around for many years SO I guess they can't be all that bad. There was another photographer that everyone raved about for the past 4 months and now i've been seeing a lot of negativity towards them (ex. He forgot to take the lens off the cap for cocktail hour etc!!) My advice meet with them and stick to who you feel comfortable with!!!!!!

I have heard terrible stories about them from about 5 different people.

Re: ADA studios

Check out LIW vendor reviews. That should help.

Re: ADA studios

Plus I don't think they would remain house vendors for a few well known catering halls if they were that bad. Unfortunately, people always like to post negative it's more interesting to read!!!!! Like I said check out LIW vendor review. Good luck with your decision.

Re: ADA studios

ADA Studios has a lot of different photographers. We met with one gentleman, who FH liked immediately, and whose work was good. I called the office to ask some additional questions and they told me I needed to talk to my 'salesperson'. That was a big turn-off to me. I thought I was meeting with a photographer, not a salesman. However, because FH liked the guy we went back to ask the questions. He didn't have the answers, and said he would call me the next day with them. It's now 4 months later, and I still haven't gotten that phone call. Needless to say, we booked elsewhere.

My best friend used them for her wedding and was very disappointed and very upset when she got her proofs back. They missed a lot of important pictures with family members etc..

Re: ADA studios

wow you guys are scaring me cause we booked them. My cousin used them and she was very very happy with them. Her pictures were beautiful and the price was great. I'm going to give them a chance because they are my house vendor so why would the catering hall tell me to go with them if they weren't good.

I agree with you. I just met with them at a bridal showcase. They are also a house vendor. I fell in love with their work and their price. ALso the photographer I spoke to was very down to earth and we liked him very much. I just need to make an appointment to see their video and I think this is it. We will probably book with them.

Re: ADA studios

My sister-in-law used them and they were horrible. At the reception on her cake table she had a bride bear and a groom bear. She had asked for pictures of her cake, so when she got her proofs back there were 6 or 7 photos of the cake and the bears but the bears were in sexual positions.....Very Inappropriate!! So when she confronted ADA they said that a guest must have did it as a joke.....Regardless You hire a photographer for their 'trained eye'! If they look through the lens and see that and still take the picture what kind of professional are they?

Re: ADA studios

I am using them & have been completely happy so far! I am using Big John...My FSIL used them in 2003 & have nothing bad to say! I honestly didn't even shop around bc I knew I wanted them to do my wedding!

Remember something, like any vendor, there is going to be bad & good reviews bc not everyone is going to be 100% happy with services they received. I have to agree with what others said, if they were such a horrible vendor, why would a hall keep them as a 'house' vendor & advertise for them! You have to be confident in your decision & not worry about other's experiences as it MIGHT not happen to you!

They are next for me to check out and were recomended to me by a family friend who works with them. Everyone has their opinion, so I would check them out.
