Add on Question..

okkk so i thought i was done racking up bills for the wedding BUT i went to my tasting today and they had different tables set up and they had this amazing square table set up!! it looked so unbeleivably awesome!!
but they count it as an upgrade! and its $1000!!! i'm thinking i might be able to negotiate them but i instantly fell in love. it was such a different classy look and now i cant stop thinking about it!!

ugh i dont know if its worth it
i'm waiting for my BM to email me the pic she showed me of another wedding that had it to post and show you guys

Re: Add on Question..

Honestly, I prefer the round tables and here's my reason:

A few years ago, FH and I went to a wedding where they had rectangular tables of 10 each. So 5 people on each side. Well we were the last ones to sit, and everyone else sat themselves so that FH and I had to sit across from one another. Considering we didn't know anyone else at the table, it was really kind of annoying. At least at round tables, you're pretty much guaranteed to sit next to your date. JMO.

I agree! Am with round you can see and talk to everyone, with rectangle its harder...if the tables ur talkng about are actually sqaure..it may be easier...just something to think about.

How was the tasting??

I actually saw a square table set up at lands end, when we were looking at halls. Same thing, when I saw it I was very drawn to it and thought it was very unique and classy looking ! If its not in your budget at the moment, then I would wait a lil longer and see if you can swing it or maybe they will negotiate it with you. good luck

Its sounds really nice, but I don't think its worth the extra money....just think of everything you could do with $1k instead of tables.

I probably wouldn't upgrade on the principle of the matter. I don't get how a RH can charge money for the usage of certain tables over another! Do they rent them from somewhere, or do they outright own them?

they charge because they have to rent them and bring them in, they are actually square, not rectangle. i agree with rectangle being hard to talk, i find the same with oval tables. i pushed for round because its easier for the whole table to talk. long ovals and rectangles are hard to speak with some one on the other end.

i dunno...see id rather update linens than change the table shape with 1k

i saw them as well, and we thought it just left a different feeling, and it was DEFINITLEY NOT WORTH THE MONEY ...i would save that money and use it for something more well worth! i promise you it will all add up and you will be like how did that just happen! hahaha

I wouldnt do it. Think of all the other extras you could get instead with 1k...things that people would remember, that would really add something to your wedding.

I'm on the fence. If they really give the place a different look and feel...I might be compelled to do it. But others are right -- $1,000 can be spent on something else -- like extras on the honeymoon!

I actually really love it!!!!
One of the florists I met with suggested renting a few square tables to give the room a pop. The CPs on those tables would be a little different too. And you can decide who you would have sit at that table (maybe your friends).
