Has anyone had any experience with adding a corset back to a dress? I found a dress I like a lot, but it has a plain zip-up back and I really want a corset lace-up back. The bridal shop says they can do the alteration but it makes me a little nervous (what if it comes out bad?). Has anyone done this? Is this something fairly routine or would I be nuts to have them mess with the dress?

i've asked the same question before - it's definitely possible. quality would depend on the seamstress. make sure if you want to do that, you go someplace that does outstanding alterations. also tell them you want to see the quality of the fabric and tie they will use for the lace up.
