Additional Dress

for the reception??

I wasn't planning on it.. Do most people buy a reception dress??

I have only seen that one and it wasnt really a dress. The bride came out half way thru the reception in black slacks with black shoes and a white beaded bustier. They were big country dances and she couldnt dance in the gown so she put the pants and dancing shoes on for like 1/2 hour and then put the gown back on. It was very very strange and everyones jaw dropped when she came out with the black pants.

Personally i know i am going to have a hard enough time putting in on let alone taking it off and putting it or soemthing else on.

I have seen brides come out dressed in a white or winter white outfit for the last few minutes before they leave. Mostly when the couple drove themselves OR were going to an after party at the parents house or something.
I'm not doing it though

the only 2nd dress im getting is one for the vegas wedding.. since i dont wanna lug around my big dress for that or run the risk of losing it on the plane with my luck and not having it in time for the LI wedding.

Absolutely, I've already announced that I plan on wearing mine for Thanksgiving, Channukah and Christmas next year Oh, and occassionally on big trips to the grocery store... with tiara, maybe I'll leave the veil at home, after all it is Cathedral length and might be a bit much for Stop and Shop

For the amount they charged me, I'm wearing it all day!!! For as long as I can until I'm forced to take it off...

i might bring another dress for that day. obviously, im not having a real reception, but im not sure how i'll feel wearing a wedding dress and veil all day in Vegas. i dont know.... maybe i should wear it all day.? well, im brining another dress along for that day just in case

I got a simple ivory dress at a sample sale at the same place we ordered the BM dresses from.. we are having an after-party- so the wedding is going til 2 30 am. I thought it would be nice to have the option of changing into this dress IF I did not want to lounge around in the cigar lounge in my dress..

I doubt I'll want to take my wedding dress off- so I will probably just take the dress on the HM to wear to a nice dinner..
