Additions? $$$ per square foot
Just wondering, those of you who have done, or are in the process, how much, on the average, were you quoted per square foot.
My DH and I have been told by our architect that on average, to get a ballpark figure, multiply square footage by $125.
Our contracter (for our bedroom addition that was contructed over four years ago), recently stopped by, and without even looking at the plans, gave us an astronomical quote, approximately $350-$400 a square foot.
This seems quite outrageous, but since I'm not in the business, maybe I'm wrong.
Of course we're going to get many estimates, any recommendations?
