additions to guest list after invites are out??

Anyone have this??

so far we have 3 additions (FH parents and My mother added).

I'm worried about my number as it is...not being too low... but too high! I KNOW the majority of people are going to say yes AND some of the people I THOUGHT would come solo... found a significant other and now are coming with a guest! The only no's I'm counting on are the 'and guest' no's. And so far that's all I've received as a no.

All in all... I'm hoping for about 30 no's. I can't afford to pay for all the extra people at this point. My mother is filling in the people she knows won't bring a guest with other people. I HAD to tell her to stop because I need those no's!! Unless she is going to pay for the extra people... which she isn't. But I feel bad telling her that. I did it already.... but I feel bad. I wish I could just be like... sure no problem!! And if we knew we could pay for them too... I would be that way... but I know we can't.

Am I alone in this??

Oh and my PERSONAL FAVORITE is this one...

so and so won't come but we have to give them an invitation anyway!! Ahh!!! But how do you know FOR SURE that they won't come???! And WHAT IF THEY DO COME!!!! Then how will I pay for them to be there??????

i would tell her that as soon as u get some no's then u can start sending more out...just be honest and say u guys cant aford to pay for all th extra people

Yes! I had to order 20 more invitations after mine went out for all the 'they have to be invited' people

OMG - When we sent out the invitations, we were at 252. We now have invited 264!!! FH keeps adding people - I'm ready to shoot him.

Seriously though, we are still in the very beginning stages of receiving RSVPs and I can tell you that some people we counted as definite 'yeses' have surprised us and RSVP'd 'no.' I keep hoping that we will get 114 no's and just make our minimum.
