Addresses Printed on Envelopes

Addresses Printed on Envelopes

Some invitation places have the option of printing the guest names and addresses on the envelopes when you place the order for invitations.

If you decided to do this, does this means that you need to finalize guest list when you place the order?

How do you handle the B list and the maybe list that you are waiting to invite until people decline? Do you do their envelopes differently?

How else are you putting addresses on invitation envelopes??

TIA!!

I am printing the envelopes at home from my printer. Maybe do that for people on your B list?

for my invites, they needed the final guest list when the invites were 85% completed. for b-lists, they gave us extra envelopes and we're printing ourselves

I would say that if you are having someone else do it for you, you will most likely have to have them do ALL the envelopes (B List included) that way they are ready if you need to send them.

I just printed our envelopes on our home printer and it worked out just fine. I used a green script font for the names and a black regular font for the address.

i am having them printed and had one printed for all guests (a, b & c lists). I am getting extra envelopes in case we end up not inviting someone on the c list but realize we want to include someone else I will just print that envelope on my own.

With my invite lady, we had to give her 75% of the guest list when the invites went to print, and 100% about 2 days before completion. Don't forget that you can design your invites now, but they don't necessarily go to print until later. I did bump up for mine and got them in Feb for a June wedding. so you'll be close enough to your wedding that you should really know the guest list by then. I seriously just put everyone on the A list. I had some other people I thought I might invite. If I could do it again I would have had her print those maybes along with the B list, if I had one. I may add some co-workers if I get a klot of No's,. but I don't think I will need it, my A list is so out of control

What we did for the ones we added after the fact was we asked our lady what fonts she used, we downloaded them and experimented a bit and we printed the stragglers ourselves on my printer. They actually look EXACTLY like the ones she printed. It took some effort to set up, but they do look perfect.

I wanted us to print all of our own envelopes, but FH felt it was too much work. It took us about 2 hours to get it all set up and print about 5 stragglers (inner and outer)

For those of you printing on your home printer - are you using a special program or just Microsoft office? Also, Are you putting anything in the envelope to keep it steady? I did a couple samples, and my printer seems to be bowing the envelopes a little & I get a little black dot at the top crease of the envelope when the printer is taking the paper.

I'm really worried about that!! and I wonder if Staples or Kinkos would print them for on the envelopes for a good price instead of doing it yourself?

I dunno. There were a few ladies who had printed at home, so I was hoping they could share their secrets!

I had to supply most of mine at the start of print, and I added a few along the way.
