Addressing envelope for family with college-aged children
If a family has a son that is in college, and they are all invited to the wedding, does the son get his own invitation, or is he added to the parents' invitation? We're doing our full guest list nice and early so we don't have to worry later.

We're sending it to the parents. I don't know about you, but our college kids aren't going to RSVP to us. Esp not the sons.

Re: Addressing envelope for family with college-aged children
My cousin is in college and was living away from home, so I sent him his own invitation. He also has a younger brother and sister, so it would have been confusing to put them all together on one invitation, considering he was invited with a guest and they were not

Re: Addressing envelope for family with college-aged children
I would consider anyone in college an adult, and would send them their own invitation. I know, back when I was in college, I received my own invitations, and would kind of been insulted if I had still been considered a 'child'. JMHO

Anyone out of high school, definitely should get their own invite. Send it to their parents house, since if you dont trust them with responding, their parents will definitely fill it out for them and mail it.
I have a cousin who is close to 40, still lives w/ parents, and his mom send me back his response card....... Go figure?
Anyone in high school or younger, I put them on the same invite as their parents, just underneath.

Okay, thanks girls! My family never had any weddings while I was in college, so I didn't know what the protocol was.

If you have an inner & outer envelope, I believe you address the outer to the parents and the inner to all invited.

I did the same thing, especially since we knew the one son in question was not going to attend.

Re: Addressing envelope for family with college-aged children
We had a 24 year old and 19 year old who we sent individual invitations to.
Would you believe, DH had to call their FATHER and ask him to send in the cards for his sons????
Now whenever we have a party, I put both of their names on their father's invitation
