Addressing Envelopes (Question)

Addressing Envelopes (Question)

I just realized I don't have my return address on the envelopes. Did you ladies have your calligrapher put on your return address? If so, where did you put it? I was thinking on the back flap.

You have to put a return address right? In case they get sent back. I can't believe I didn't think of this before.

The return address goes on the envelope flap.

Do you mean the RSVP envelope or your invite envelope? We had ours pre-printed on the invite envelopes but not the RSVP envelopes.

YES! You def. have to put a return address on your invitation envelopes. I got 4 returned invitations. If I didn't have a return address, I would have never received them back to get them to the guest.

I will say though that on the RSVP's, most people have not been putting their return address on it. But you obviously can't put your own address as the return because thats where its going! I don't know what could fix that. I know of 2 RSVP's that have yet to make it to me that were sent.

I would highly suggest investing about $20 in an embosser for your return address rather than having the calligrapher write them on every envelope. They're so classy too. You don't have to have your name, just the address.

For our thank you cards, I got us a stamp that has our names and new address on it. I'm excited to use it. (Just gotta order those thank yous first...)

Thanks for suggesting the embosser... i'm going to look into getting one of those.

And definitely put the return address on.

We had the company that printed our letterpress invites also print our return address on the envelopes...Like SpringSandra....we only used the address....no names on the return address for the main envelope...

I would definitely include the return address because so many invites get sent back. It goes on the back flap.
