addressing invites

When inviting a couple that lives together do both names go on the outside or do i put the person i am inviting only on the outside. Then on the inner envelope both names

Miss Patrica XXXXXX and
Rich XXXXX

Or

Miss Patricia

TIA

I put both names on the outer envelope.

If you visit www.theknot.com, there are articles about how to properly address envelopes. I heavily relied on them...very helpful!
