Addressing Invites - Outer vs inner

how are you girls addressing your inner envelopes? they should be more informal than the outer right? so for example, if the outer says mr. and mrs. john smith, what should the inner say? can you be as informal as aunt mary and uncle john or should it say mary and john smith? so confused......

I asked this same question last week you can do a search, but some people kept it formal inner/outer & others used informal.

I went informal w/ close family/friends

Mr. and Mrs. X Last Name

Inner envelope: Aunt Geri and Uncle Joe

Or Mr. & Mrs. X

Mom & Dad

I think its totally up to you

i did formal on the outside - mr and mrs. john smith, and then did informal on the outside - aunt mary and uncle john. it seemed more personal that way!
