Hi Angela-I would go with option #2

Re: Addressing Outer Envelope Question

I looked this up:

'If you are inviting the entire family, the traditional way is to list kids' names on the inner envelope but not on the outer one ('kid' meaning anyone under 18). Adult children 18 and older should get their own invitations. The word 'family' can be interpreted widely -- you wouldn't think people would invite their second cousins once removed to your wedding but trust me, it happens! Here's how to address for success:
Outer envelope: Mr. and Mrs. James Smith

Inner envelope: Mr. and Mrs. Smith Peter, Paul, and Mary

Putting each child's name on the invitation will make him or her feel especially invited, which is a nice touch.'

Hope this helps

Re: Addressing Outer Envelope Question

Children over 18 are suppose to get their own invite. Do you have inner envelopes as well?? If you only have outer envelopes it should be

Mr. and Mrs. John Smith
Kelly, John and Mary (oldest to youngest)

Thank you. I was wondering about that one myself. We might not do inner envelopes.

#1 or #2 should be fine.

I choose #2.

But if you have an inner envelope (it not necessary, but if you do) with your set of invites put it like this:

outer envelope:
Mr. and Mrs. John Smith
123 Main Street
Anywhere, NY 11111

inner envelope:
Mr. and Mrs. John Smith and Family
