Addressing Outer Envelopes

Here's a question...

Outer envelopes - do you put the & Guest?? Which is correct - number 1 or 2?

1. Mr. Michael Barn
2. Mr. Michael Barn & Guest

I know the & Guest goes on the inner envelope...but what about the outside?

Guest would only go on the inside unless they are a long time significant other....and in that case you should get there full name and have it on the outer envelope.

Next question would be is anyone good at creating the labels in Word?? I'm having issues with that!
