Addressing question

I'm putting all the names in a phone book to give to my aunt. She's doing the calligraphy for us. If you have a whole family, how do you address the invintation. Do you do it:
Mr & Mrs Jack Smith and family or & family

I am doing Mr. and Mrs. Jack Smith on the outside and their individual names- Jack, Jill, Sandy and Jack Jr. on the inner envelope. Kids over 16 living at home should get their own invite.

I wrote Mr and Mrs Blahblah & Family

on the outer envelope.

This way there was no confusion...

I didnt invite 'and family' but I think if you have the '&' sign then the 'and' should be spelled out in 'and family'.
