Adressing envelopes for invitations?

Adressing envelopes for invitations?

Has anyone printed out their own envelopes on an ink jet printer? I was thinking of printing them out myself instead of getting a calligrapher, but I don't know how. Does it work? What size font? What is the spacing?

Please Help!

I plan on doing them that way. But we haven't worked out all the details yet.

My suggestion. Use MS Word and choose your font and try sample sizes on white paper. If you hold the white paper in front of the envelope under the light, you can get an idea of how big or small it is, and also how to shift it from left to right, or bottom to top.

Also, I have found its better to open the flap of the envelopes and have the printer feed the envelopes from the bottom so it can grip a clean edge.

Good luck!

I have heard good things a/b weddingsaddressed.com- they have a free trial and it looks pretty easy to use!

We printed ours at home on our ink-jet printer! Took a long time, but saved us some cash! We did not follow any spacing rules or anything... just do what matches your invites best!
