Adrienne's

Anyone bought thier dress at Adrienne's in Islip? What did you think?

i did. i love the dress - bought it from a trunk show last year. however, it came in two times incorrectly! had to be sent back to the designer, etc. i know it's the designer's fault, but the shop did not check up with the designer to make sure it was right. i checked with the store several times because we changes many things on the dress - but they never relayed it and didn't take any responsibility. it was kind of stressful but at least it's ready now. i have my first fitting in about 2 weeks and hopefully that goes well...we'll see.

i love the place itself, very pretty and boutiquey:) i like dealing with Sophia personally so try to make an appt with her if you can.

for veils i reccommend veilshop.com - great items at much better prices than any bridal shops.

I did and I've had a great experience! Brides on the Knot who have bought dresses by the same designer have had problems with delivery as they are manufactured overseas, but mine came in perfect and early

I purchased my dress from Adrienne's. I had no problems. Alterations were fine. Pick up the dress a week from thurs

For those of you who ordered your dresses there, how long did it take to come in and what designer did you order? My wedding is in 7 months and I need to order a dress soon.

Also, do they carry Jim Hjelm at all? I know their web site says 'and more' and I was wondering if maybe he was included.

Yes, Adrienne's carries Jim Hjelm! I actually have an appointment with them on Saturday. I'm hoping to find a Maggie Sottero of Paloma Blanca gown....we shall see!
