Adriennes in Islip???

I have an appt. today at Adriennes in Islip.

Can anyone share their experience with them?

Do they have a lot of dresses?

Are the dresses they have expensive?
(over $2K is expensive to me?)

How do they treat their customers.

Thanks!!!

The only experience I had with them was on the phone. I called to ask about a certain dress - they said they had to order the sample dress into the store and that they would call me the following week - I never received that call.

my friends sister recently purchased her dress there and she said she had a wonderful experience and that they are going back to order the BM dress there too.

i went there once and they were very nice....but i didnt feel like they had a very large selection. but that could have been just the styles i was looking to try on. i told them i wanted to look at dresses under 1500 and there wasnt that much. i'm actually planning on going back at the end of the month bc after searching and searching i decided to up my budget a little to see what else is out there.

I had a good experience when I went there to try on -- but I had no intentions of ever buying from them. To be honest I have heard horror stories when it came to alterations especially.

The selection is decent but be clear on your price range -- they will show dresses that are more then you want to spend.

Good luck

I dont like to really talk about certain places on here because it upsets people who are using these places..but i am so upset with the service there right now that i want everyone to stay clear of this place...my mother ordered her dress in march and we never recieved a call if it was in or not..my mother ordered a bridesmaid dress but specifically said she was the mob..well in june i got a phonecall saying when is the rest of your bridal party coming in for their measurements? i was like um they arent i got their dresses somewhere else..that order was for my mom..so they never placed it in march..they said im so sorry and they 'said they placed it right away' for the past 3 weeks we have been calling and showing up and we keep getting told that the dress is there and than its not there or its in the storage room but they cant get it because the woman who does shipping is not in.. the owner is convieniently never available either..we have made 5 phone calls and were promised a call back right away and they havent called back once..now onto my first fitting...my appt was at 430 i got there at 425 to find 2 woman in there flipping out that they had been waiting for 2 hours for their dresses that was supposed to be done when they got there only to find out that the final alterations were never done...i waited until 5 until someone actaully cam down stairs to greet me for my fitting. all in all the seamstress calmed me down and she seems great..sorry so long im just so unhappy

I agree with Saram that I don't like to post negative things about vendors because other girls use them...but one of my friends specifically told me not to go there because the service was terrible and they were nasty..I dont' know firsthand because I trusted her opinion and didn't go there (when I was looking for vendors I only went on what my RH recommended and word-of-mouth from my friends. JMHO...but I figured I have enough stress as it is and why take a chance when there are so many other vendors to choose from)?

all of the dresses i tried on were under 2k and some under 1k. the owner was a total wackjob, but the girl who helped us was very sweet. their maid's cottage has a great selection of dresses. i did read some horror stories about them. one 07 bride, brian and marie, had a bad experience with alterations.

I am so sorry you are so unhappy...I just hate hearing about bad experiences becuase your wedding planning is suppose to be fun and enjoyable time.

I had my appoitent today. I do have to say that it is a very lovely place, the house is beautiful. They only focus on one person at a time and you have the entire room to yourself..well at least we did today. The staff was soo nice to us, but I did hear them getting a tone with people on the phone. The experience at first is wonderful and their gowns are gorgeous. Even their hand bags and all their accssories are beautiful. They are a little bit more expensive that I would like the spend on a dress. They carry their own designer..they do have other designers, but they will not let you know the designer of the other dress if it's not their own. I have heard a lot of reviews complaining about AFTER you order your dress. I have heard that the experience is great at first but they order the dresses too big and alterations have been nightmarish.

Hopefully they can work on their customer service because it really is a beautiful place.

Then my mother and I went to Milk N Sugar in Bayshore only 2 miles up the road - where I hinted to her that I would love to have my shower at! So, I wouldn't rule this place out, but I would be careful with them and maybe even let them know what you have heard about them and let them know your conerns.

DONT GO THERE!!! The dresses there are nice... BUTTTTTT my friend had a terrible experience there!!! Everytime she went for her fitting, they either did NO WORK on her dress or they would be working on it while she was waiting. She ended up paying a whole lot of money for alterations. Now let me get to my BM experience there... TERRIBLE!!!! I had to pay over their 'max cap', the work of the seamstress ****** and they are RUDE there!! I am getting married in August and didn't go there because of everything that happened... and everything I've heard about that place! I just got my dress at Lillettes in Baldwin and they are sooooooo nice there. I just bought my dress today!!! Ask for Gerri, she's amazinggg :)

Re: Adriennes in Islip???

Its a good place for a first store because of its a cute place and a nice experience BUT!!!! its downhill from there and I wouldn't order from them. They cut the tags out of the dresses and don't tell you the designer and overprice. I liked a dress there but later investigating, I'm 98% sure they were gonna sell me the sample.
I loved Village Bridal, Burton's, and bridal suite in Bayshore (convienently close to milk and sugar).
