Adrienne's in Islip-how are they??

I am looking to order my BM dresses. I am not sure if I want to order from Bridal Reflections in Massapequa. Heard about Adrienne's and wanted to know if they are any good with alterations. Thanks! Oh.... how are their prices?????

My MOH got her wedding dress there (we didnt get BM dresses there though) and honestly I dont think they did a very good job with the alterations. The main problem that she had is that the top wasnt altered correctly and her straps kept falling down. But I think if she had of been more conscience of this when she went for fittings then she could have made sure tehy did a better job.

I went gown shopping there for my gown. The staff was very nice and they weren't too pushy. I think they have a pretty good selection of dresses. I ended up not getting my dress there b/c I found it at Burton's for less money. It doesn't hurt to go check them out. Most bridal salons will give your BM's a discount if the bride has purchased her dress from them.

I used Adrienne's.. my dress was great $ AND my alterations were perfect. PLUS they were WAY more nice than the biotches at Bridal Reflections (I have bought 3 BM dresses there).

Check them out.

I got my BM's dress from there for a wedding I was in May 2001. They were good and price was right. The alterations were great. No hidden cost and they measured everyon perfectly. I would recommend them. Just make sure you call for an appt. though to be seen.... they dont care for walk ins all that often.

The lady who did alterations really crappy has since been fired. We had the owner of the salon delievering a ball gown to my house because of how horrible she was.
I would never do business with them again.
My friend got an amazing dress there and I was her bridesmaid so I did as well. So, when my husband had a ball for the USAF I went there also.
Long story short... the brides dress keep falling off of her, her sister the moh's dress was ordered two sizes to small and they ordered extra material and piece it together and it looked horrible. I just took my dress to my local drycleaner and they did my hem and the dress for the ball which was prior to the wedding well, the semestress did the hem cockeyed, she hacked into the dress to alter it and told me she wasen't going to take it in properly so I could fit into it a year from them, and when I told her I needed it to fit properly that month and could care less about a year from now.. she got ****ed.
This semstress didn't care about what you thought she made her own decidions and the owner got many complaints about her and did nothing for a long time. I even asked one of the girls in the bridesmaids cottage and she said that they knew she ****ed but still kept her around. The owner ended up having to bring the dress to my house the night before I was getting on my flight for the ball because they couldn't correct it any sooner and the drive from bethpage was getting really old.

So, go there if you want, I think there problems is gone. But I heard Angels in Islip is a great shop and I got mine at Commack and saved a ton!

Also, the seamstress got lipstick on my friends gown during her fitting.

I would second Angel's bridal the seamstress their are great and it is in East Islip not Islip. Also if they dont have your dress they can order it for you. And like i said the seamstresses are great their.

I bought my wedding dress at Angel Bridals. I am glad to hear some good feed back on them. They are so nice there. They could not do enough for me.

I also looked at Adrienne's for my dress, they were so nice, and helpful. My mom got her MOG dress for my brother's wedding, and the seamstress she had was wonderful, she had to take in the dress3 sizes, and redo the entire jacket. I went with Burton's for all of my dresses, becaseu they were alot cheaper then Adrienne's

Adrienne's also opened up the salon at 4L30 on Sunday, so I could come back and try on two dresses again, since I thougth they were open until 5:00.

Beware of Adrienne's in Islip. I posted about them twice right after my wedding. Do a search under isopodi and it might still be there. The problem with Adrienne's (and most bridal places for that matter), is that they are nice to you when you are looking for dresses there but do a complete 360 once you have already ordered the dresses from them. I ordered my wedding gown and 6 BM dresses from them. I have to honestly say I did not have a problem with my dress but the BM alterations were terrible. They never, I repeat never had the alterations done on time. They ordered every single one of my girls dresses too big so they had to go back 2-3 times to get fittings. Two of my girls were out of state and Adrienne's had the nerve to cancel one of my out of state girl's appointment for a fitting 5 minutes before her appointment after she had already made the 2 & 1/2 hour trip from Connecticut.
I decided I was never going to deal with Adrienne's again when the day before my wedding, one of my bridesmaids called me up from there in tears because her dress was not finished yet. I had to go down there in person and yell and scream my head off in order for anything to get done and I refused to pay the alterations. I definately would reconsider getting any dresses from there, but that is just my opinion.
