advice

MY MOH is having a bridesmaids getogether next week(its the first gettogeter with all the girls, because 2 of them dont really know the other 3. thing is i know money is tight with her at the present time because she was without a job for 3months(she moved back to nyc was living upstate for awhile working there after she graduated college, but shes back yay!) but anyway shes working again but she has bills that were backed up so i didnt want her paying for the dinner she says shes jut going to have everyone split the bill evenly amngst us(i'm going too) thing is should i be paying for this dinner?
i'm pretty tight on funds at the present time too with wedding costs and about to repay one of my college loans by the end of next week.
is it tacky to not pay for my girls?

I wouldn't consider it tacky for you not to pay for everyone. I would assume if i was invited to something like that, that we would each pay our own way. Could you have it at someone's house instead of going out, that way there's not too much money involved for anyone?

Re: advice

If they're helping pay for thr bridal shower then I would pay for the 'get together.' If not then I would just split it with them I guess and give them all little gifts. Thats what I would do.

Re: advice

I don't think you would be expected to pay for everyone, just yourself...

hmmm, if I were going out with my BP for a meet and greet, I would probably want to pay. they're incurring a big expense for me and I would want to do it.

Re: advice

Considering this is just a 'get-together' and not really the bridal luncheon or anything, I don't think that you should have to pay for it. If you start now and the wedding is 1 year away, you will be paying for a heck of a lot. I would pay your own way.

I don't think that I would pay for it. It really is not necessary especially if you are tight on money. You are not getting married for another year and will probably have other things to pay for, for your bridesmaids. Do not feel obligated!!!

Hey!
I just did the same thing this past Sunday. I had a BM GTG for all the girls since they all did not know each other.
I was going to do a dinner but I was inviting them and I could not pay for all of them..I had it at my place I sent them an e-vite evite for a pizza party. I had chips and dips and other food to pick at then got us 2 pies. I got them little books from Barnes and Noble that were going out of business.
I felt if I invited them to lunch or out to eat that I should pay that is why I had it at my place...If you can't have it at your place I would send them an e-vite for a girls night out with drinks and you are buying the first round. Good Luck!!

I would pay too. I think I would be uncomfortable splitting the bill

I think everyone (including you) should split everything evenly.
