loooooong story short-ish

have had the worst time with hair between person having to go away, her fill in (both people ive known for years) has a sick husband so backed out (both i understood but still stinks) nowim on girl #3. We did trial all was fine. was quoted for my girls months ago at $70.

we have been playing phone tag for weeks and we finally spoke. she is totally willing to come to us at the hotel since she pockets it all, but now she wants $85. I dont get it... she doesn have to pay out to the store... why is it so much more? AND when i asked her just that, she said it was never $70 it was $75 min.

I cant find a new girl this short notice, and i liker her and her work. problem is i wont go back to my bms etc and ask for another $15.

Do i cough up the extra $75 and not say anything or do it at the store for cheaper price but have to worry about logistics of getting girls back and forth between two towns with timeline for hair and make-up

im not poor, but $75 is alot of money....

Did you get the $70 quote in writing? If not, you're kind of stuck.

I'd probably just cough up the extra $15 per girl, but if you don't want to, there's no reason they can't go to the salon. We're not having anyone come to us for hair and makeup. We're all going to the salon and have to travel between Plainview (the hotel) and Floral Park (the salon).

did you get the quote in writing? Then you could fight for it. If not, I'd say cough up the extra $$

the salon and hotel is like 25 min away... just afraid it will be really hard to plan who is getting hair wehn and who gets makeup to ensure everything is done in time

Just pay it. She is probably charging you a little more since she has to travel which takes time out of her day.

pay the extra $15/head (or have your bmaids pay it) but take it out of her tip, since she's pocketing all the extra dough!!!!

I hate tipping people like this - everything is all set in stone and then they pull a fast one on you!
I would tell everyone to give her $80, so like a $5 tip.
