Advice!!!

Ladies, I need your help and wisdom. Ok, so i'm getting married in two months and I know that my MOH is throwing me a shower AND a bachelorette party. She is going through some serious financial problems and just found out her dad is in the hospital--he's been ill for a long time with cancer. I just can't stomach her spending all of this money and doing all of this planning when she has so much going on. How can I make this all easier for her??? I was thinking maybe we can just go out the night of the shower and that'd be my bachelorette. Originally we were going to go to Atlantic City but it just seems like too much trouble and too much money!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Talk to her about it... Tell her you are concerned about all the things she's going through.. I'm sure she'll appreciate your concern..

I would talk to her about it and let her know how much you appreciate all she's doing but would like to help in any way you can. Also, can the rest of your BP (if you have additional girls) help her out? That way it's not all on her...

maybe your bridesmaids can chip in?

mine are chipping in for my bach party but my mom is giving me my shower but they can chip in for both and split the cost so shes not paying for everything

I think you've already received some sound advice, and I agree that she'll appreciate the concern.

I'd just like to say how refreshing it is to hear someone concerned about her friend and not bitching about what she's not getting from people or who's not paying for what or ' I can't BELIEVE she can't afford to chip in $300 for my shower'... I hate that.

Thank you guys so much...I spoke with her. We're going to change the bachelorette plans and do something local so it'sa little easier financially on everyone. You guys are the best.

This is exactly what we are doing next month for my Boston Bridal Shower/Bachelorette. We are all going out for a fun girls night out after the shower on the same day. I think its perfect!!!
