advice for long distance (teacher) bride... help!!

Hello!!

My FH and I recently moved to SC, but are getting married Sat, May 16th on LI. I got a better deal having it in May, but I'll still be teaching, and I can probably only take 2 personal days to make it work. (either fly out a thursday night and back on a monday, or wednesday-sunday)

I was wondering what kind of things do I need to do days before the wedding?? I feel like at that time mostly everything will be done, but I'm just nervous! Worst comes to worse, I could fly up the weekend before, but I was wondering if you ladies could tell me what the last few days before the wedding entails (since you've all been it through!)

Thanks!!

It depends on how much stuff you are making yourself...i.e. favors, church decorations, place cards, welcome bags. Most halls and hotels want that stuff dropped off two days before.
Best advice: Go over your list and designate certain tasks to family and bridal party.
Hope this helps!

Just about nothing.

You can do most of your final stuff over the phone.
If you are DIY things that need to be dropped off at the hall prior to that is really the only thing-placecards, menus, favors, etc.

otherwise, the few days before you pick up your dress, get a mani/pedi and that is about it. And of course your rehearsal and RD too.

I totally agree with this. I was a long-distance bride and came back for my wedding on Tuesday night (wedding was Saturday) having Wed-Fri was MORE than enough time to do stuff.
