Advice from a man married for 30 years

I got this from another site. I like it and thought I'd pass it along :)

I asked someone who'd been married for 30 years what makes it work. The advice he gave me was priceless. And here it is because I felt like it was so freaking awesome:
1. Never stop dating, courting and primping for each other.
2. A man must make the woman's life more important than his own, which very few men can maintain.
3. If either partner stops wanting to please the other, trouble begins to brew.
4. The monetary part of a marriage requires a rational business mindset.
5. We are new people every morning.
