I went out to move my car and noticed a well dressed woman standing outside of a car infront of my house. I thought nothing of it she just looked like she was having problems with her car. I finally came back like 30 minutes later and she was still there. This time her shoes were off and she was looking around frantically. I could tell she def wasn't from around here...
Turns out I Was right. Her car broke down because she was charging her phone with the car running and something must have happened.
I let her use my phone and we started talking while we were waiting for her ride.
Turns out she was a wedding planner from the city. she was asked to check out a bakery around by me. We got to talkng about how i was planning my wedding etc... and how I had mostly everything done.
And she said 'Let me give u the biggest secret a wedding planner can give. Pretend your wedding date is two months before your actual wedding. Get your dress a month before. But all the little things... get them done as if your wedding is two months before'
Hope it helps u guys

I like that idea, I will do that for sure. I was probably on track for that as it is, but now I'm setting it as a goal.

Re: Advice from a wedding planner i want to share!
I was JUST told YESTERDAY to do this when ordering my dress. Someone told me to tell them my wedding is a month earlier then it really is incase there are any mishaps with ordering/sizes/ alterations and what not to save some headaches, I thought they were crazy but maybe it is a good idea?

we've been doing EVERYTHING ahead of time since I'm an OOT bride and have to get things done when I'm in NY....
but the 2 month thing doesn't help me now with only 26 days to go!

Re: Advice from a wedding planner i want to share!
VERY TRUE! the last 2 months is fittings and seating charts and RSVPs if all the little details are done it will make that time soooo much less stressful!!
Dont let anyone tell you that your doing things to soon! If its DIY stuff you can do now do it.....you and your family will be happy later when your not a bridezilla!

Re: Advice from a wedding planner i want to share!
a lot of people were telling me i was nuts getting all the plans and diy stuff at least planned out i think its pretty smart this way i can relax for a few months now.... rvery thing is done except photog/video and music but i know who we are going to go with so no biggie there
so i'm so glad i can just enjoy the summer with my daughter and not worry about this and that till i'm actually on LI and at this point who knows when that will be.
