So I am getting married at 3pm in brooklyn and the rh is at the fox hollow which cocktail hour starts at 7. I want to take pics somewhere else aside from the rh. My delimma:Chuch at 3 (if it all runs on time), by the time the cermony ends and receiving line and all the church pics...I figure 4-415. That leave me 2hrs and 45 mins to get to take pics and get to the hall. To get to the fox from the church will take about an hour depending on traffic.....Do you think that leaves me enough time to go somewhere to take pics???

that maybe cutting it close. you have to plan for traffic...church usually doesn't start on time. I oray it does. I'm also getting married at the Fox Hollow. They have beautiful grounds. I'm taking my pics there, but also my ceremony is there as well....

if all goes well with time you can do it but brooklyn to the island is always dicey with traffic- maybe a oic locale closer to FH will work or Fox hollow itslef

That kinda sounds close, I would talk to the photographer and see what they suggest

It depends on where you're going to take pics and how quick your photographer is. I'd try to plan for something close to your reception hall this way you can have a better idea of how long you can be there, and can get to the hall quickly when you're done.

Someone suggested that maybe I find a church closer to the fox.....but I want to get married in my parish....maybe I should bump up the time to 2:30?? Then I would have to speak with all of my vendors!!!!!!!!!!!! What a P.I.T.A!!!!

That might work out better for you, especially if you want to stick with your church. Can you do 2:00pm, that might be even better?

I'm actually in a similar situation. I scheduled my church earlier, because I didnt think I would have enough time to take my pics and get to LI for my cocktail hour.
We still do not know where we are taking pics!
I would take pics on LI because of your concern. Can you possibly take your pictures at the RH?

Just a thought, how long is your cocktail hour going to be? Cause it might not be that bad if you run a little into the cocktail hour. That's what we might do. But otherwise bumping it to 2:30 might work too.

I am going to talk to the fh tonight...but really....he's going to say 'whatever you want'....LOL
Someone else said the same thing to me about the cocktail hour too....I didnt realize it till they said it.....I just hope the vendors dont charge me and arm and a leg for the extra half hour if we decide!!!
