Well I have finally gotten it together enough that I am going for the first time to look at wedding dresses. My appointment is at kleinfleds tomorrow.
Any advice?

My advice is...
If you know there are particular things you definitely DON'T want, then voice that opinion up front.
If you have a maximum price, then also say that up front. Last thing you want is to have them show you something that you fall in love with that ends up being astronomically out of your price range.
Bring someone with you if you can. I brought my best friend and she was a good voice of reason.
I think that's it.
Oh yeah, and ENJOY IT!!!

You're sweet , thanks. As for bringing someone with me, I think I have too many. My mom sister and gomother (she has no daughters so it will be nice for her)

That is really nice that they're all coming with you. I brought my grandma and my mom back after I picked to show them. Actually, tomorrow I'm going with my sister, mom, FMIL, and two best friends to both show them my dress and check out BM dresses (it's at Priscilla of Boston).
I have one other piece of advice - don't let ANYONE's opinion change your mind!!! If you love it, that's ALL that matters.

i absolutely agree.. i've seen that happen so many times where bride's bring friends and family which is great..but they always wind up liking something you don't... and they push.. DON'T LET THEM. Kindly say that it's not your style and you just wouldn't be happy with it.. and you'll know when it's the dress!!!! HAVE FUN!

my advice: 1. PATIENCE!!!! Especially at kleinfelds. I was there yesterday with another LIW girl and we waited 40 minutes for a 2 minute 'okay' so she can take her veil home!!!!
2. Even if you 'think' you want a specific dress, try on other styles. You never know which dress you'll love on you!
3. HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!

Wear a strapless bra and underwear that covers your bootie. I don't know if the salespeople at Kleinfelds help you dress and undress but I wouldn't want to be in a thong just in case.

LOL - YESSSSSSS! I forgot that one, but I had the bad experience of wearing a thong and I had to stand around with my butt out in front of the POB lady for over an hour!!!

got my dress at klienfelds, it is really big lol!!! so many to choose from. they do help you change so the thong thing is a good tip. i wish you luck. i went ona s ample sale and they rushed me little so hopefully you could take your time. but regardless mine was the 3rd one i tried on. ooooo and get ot of the dressing room and walk around with it make sure its comfy your wearing it all night!!!!! the veil really makes u feel like a bride. ooo my have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah they come into the dressing room and help you get dressed.
Bring a strapless bra
If theres particular dresses you want to try on and you know the style numbers definitely bring that with you.
Appointments are an hour and a half which they probably told you already.
Your sales person will ask exactly what you're looking for as far as style and designers, so if you tell them what designers you want to check out they'll show you that and this way you dont have to worry about them showing things that are not in your price range.
Go in with an open mind and try different style dresses on you never know what would look best on you, sometimes the style we love is not one that compliments us best
