getting a brazillian on saturday

when should i take and what is the best asprin/ibuprofen/etc.

also any other TIPS!

Honestly, I've tried the aspirin/Tylenol thing, it doesn't do much. Just try your best not to tense up, it makes it worse. The first time will be the roughest, but it gets better after that. It's really not that terrible, and totally worth it compared to shaving.

My only tip would be to go to a place that specializes in Brazilians. Try Sonia's in either Rosyln or East Northport, they're the BEST.

Buy a laser hair removal coupon from groupone, lifebooker or living social. After awhile, I couldn't take doing brazilians anymore.

im thinking about this... they have one at the spa by my gym... but no time before the wedding!

I usually don't take anything. I just wait for the pain to go away. I usually wear a dress or skirt so I can get a nice, refreshing breeze when I'm done haha!

the pain isn't too bad just try and relax. I've been doing it for years, the more you do it the easier it gets. It's so worth it and FH will be happy!!

I didn't even think to take anything and survived, haha. Each time does get easier. And it's 10000% worth it.

THIS! I have gone for two sessions so far - it's an interesting experience but definitely beats out waxing for sure.

Omg I started going to the European wax center and it is awesome!
They use a black wax that doesn't stick to the skin so it really doesn't hurt and you don't get the raw after feeling either! If you tell them it's your 1st time it's 50% off so its only $21!
They don't make you get on all 4's either (so weird)
I had sworn off waxing until a friend dragged me here, now I'm back at it!

I don't take anything.. I've literally had worse eyebrow experiences! LOL. I go to European Wax Center of Northport and love it!

THIS!!! The first time is definitely the worst, but I have always thought eyebrow waxes were more painful. The more you build it up in your mind the worse it's going to be.

Also, I know you said it's too late for laser, but if you want to keep up with Brazilians, definitely buy a groupon somewhere. Best decision I have ever made!

ok since you dont have time for the laser -
when I used to do brazilians, i had to remember to breathe out (through mouth the bigger the patch of hair she was working on) when she pulled off the strip. it helped relax me. at the most, do not hold your breath...ok and sometimes I started to giggle of laugh, it made my body relax. Good luck!!

are you going to European wax center? Your first time is only 21 bucks! The first time really hurt, I don't think their is much you can do to prepare for it but it does get better! Remember to breathe! Take one aleve a couple of hours before, if you take too many pain killers right before you may bleed! Also wear comfy panties that won't irritate the skin afterwards! I like to chew gum or have a jolly rancher, it helps me focus on something else!

that's where I go! It's so much better than normal waxing, I don't think it hurts nearly as much!
