Advice on how to include...x-posted

girlfriends that are not in the bridal party. I have four great girlfriends that I want to include somehow in the ceremony. I probably should have chosen them to be in the bridal party but there are reasons why I didn't.
FH and I already have readers so I am trying to think of something else.

I'm wondering if they would like to be asked to be ushers or to hand out the programs. Does that sound more like a chore than an 'honor' (for lack of a better word).

I was thinking of asking them to walk down the aisle. I want to write them cards letting them know how much they mean to me and how fortunate I am to have them in my life. What if they walk down the aisle as 'friends of the bride'. I'm trying to find something short of calling them honorary bridesmaids.

Sorry if this is confusing... but I could definitely use some advice.

TIA!

What about if you ask them to hand out petal cones, and give a nice message to them in your program. You can also dedicate a song to dance w/ them at the reception.

Great ideas...you can also make sure that they're included in some special pics...
