Advice on table cameras and buying raw video (past brides, please chime in too)

TABLE CAMERAS:
We decided on table cameras, and adding 'please use flash' under the viewfinder. (They used the flash, and it was great) We heard from past brides that many forgot the flash and wasted film, so thanks to them for the heads up!!

We were elated on our table camera pictures because it showed many of our guests, no matter what they were doing. (Typically, your photographer's proofs will be mainly of the bride and groom, BP, and parents.) There is so much that can be missed without a table camera. For the extra $100 to buy and develop these pics was sooooo worth it!!!!

BUYING RAW VIDEO:
Now, sometimes this comes in the package, or is a nominal fee to buy! I say DO IT!!!!!!! We just received ours today (really our fault because we were dragging our feet on it). WE LOVED IT!!!!!!!! The things that went wrong, or funny comments, or guests you didn't see dancing because you were busy, it's great to see everything that happened. Trust me, you miss a lot of it.

As we watched it, we realized that a lot of it wasn't worth the final product to the videographer. (Meaning, it would probably be cut out of the final video) But it meant so much to us. The random moment from our FG climbing out of the limo and grabbing a boK right out of a BM's hand for herself, or when 2 GM had to walk back down the aisle together because a BM was tending to her child (They didn't know what to do with their arms when they weren't escorting her), or he quick time two guests grabbed me to dance at the same time, pulling me in two different directions. We were laughing our butts off watching this video and reliving the day. We know the final video will be wonderful as well, but you can't put a price on what isn't necessarily 'wedding like'.

Please, other past brides, what do you think? Any advice?

And I have to add that seeing my face on video while I was looking at DH the entire time I walked down the LOOOONNNNGGGG aisle was awesome, but even better when my MIL stepped in front of him to take pictures.

I remember thinking, 'Get out of the way woman!' and I see that on video.

What brand of camera did you use? Where did you get them. I see all the cute 'wedding cameras' but I am afraid they are going to come out like crap. So I am undecided if I should go with Kodak and forget the look or go with a wedding decorated camera and take a chance?

I totally agree with the table cameras!! We have a whole book of over 200 pics from our table cameras and we only threw out like 6 pics out of all of them.

We used the Fuji 800-speed cameras... they came in a 4 pack. The quality was great and we also got 5 black & white cameras to put on some of the tables. We got those from CVS. The b&w pics are awesome too!!!

We got the Fuji celebration pack, 800 speed too. We got them at Walmart. They were colored silver or something like that.

Another advice: I negotiated with our videographer to throw in the raw footage for free, so you should definitely try that!
