I finally just printed all my labels for the invitations. This includes inner labels. I just realized that i F*** up! I wrote out the whole thing for the inner too, example Mr. and Mrs. John Smith. Do I really need to do all 175 again????

Re: Advice please

Re: Advice please
I hate to say this, but I've never heard of printing labels for wedding invitations. Etiquette says to never do that. Given that you have already done it, there are two ways to look at it: 1. You already threw etiquette out the window so who cares? or 2. You goofed on doing the labels in the first place so you should at least get them right.
Also a consideration, the inner envelope is usually used to let guests know exactly who is invited - for example if Jane Smith is single, the outer envelope is addresses to Ms. Jane Smith, but the inner envelope is supposed to say Jane Smith & Guest (if you are allowing single people to bring a guest); and for families, the outer envelope reads Mr. and Mrs. John Smith, and the inner envelope reads John and Mary Smith and Family (again only if you are including kids).
Sorry to add more angst to the situtation.

Re: Advice please
I've gotten plenty of wedding invitations with printed labels. I wasn't offended in the least! I'd say, if it's bothering you that much, redo them, otherwise I'd just leave it.

Re: Advice please
I would redo the inner labels... it's really not that hard to do on the PC.

IMO, who cares. Leave them as is. I don't think it's a big deal at all.

Re: Advice please
The inner label is supposed to have the specific first names of those invited (or just 'guest'), so there is no question in their minds.
I'm doing labels too. But we are handwriting the inner envelopes. Sorry Miss Manners, but I'm doing it my way!
A friend of mine wanted to handwrite hers, but ran out of time and the invitations came to everyone a week before the RSVP. When she was going through all that I told her that I don't even remember what any other invitation was like (handwritten, calligrapher, label, etc.).

Re: Advice please
Thanks girls. I am going to leave it. I never even really noticed that my name was on the inner envelope. I am not stressing anymore over something that is going in the garbage. Thanks for all your opinions and input!
