We are going for our engagement pictures on wednesday with Patken. I have no idea what we are supposed to wear! Do theyshoot your whole body? Or just waist up? Should me and FH match? Should I wear something dressy or casual? Suggestions please! Thanks so much!!

I am doing it in the Lindenhurst location of Patken...they have a whole indoor studio set up!

If I were doing them, I would dress in a way that reflects who we are. Neat and casual I guess.

we took our engagement pctures on a beach and we both wore white t-shirts and jeans, no shoes. i think you need to match or at least blend with the colors you are wearing.

yup- they do shoot your whole bodies.... and like the other girls said, it depends on what you want to wear- wear something that reflects who you guys are... i've seen pics on here with the more casual jeans and white tee shirt thing that came out adorable, and then theres some that wear skirts, dressy capris and khakis that come out just as great... its all what you guys want to reflect, i guess... have fun!!!

I took my engagement pictures with Patken in the studio and they did not shoot the whole body. At most it was bust and up. I wore a dress because I didn't know what to expect and my fiance wore a white dress shirt. The only tip I got from them was to wear solid colors.
They also told me that the purpose of the e-pics is so you can get an idea of what it will be like on the day of your wedding and so they can see what poses you like and don't like.
We're getting our e-pics on Thursday, well we're supposed to at the beach, but its's supposed to pour, so we'll see.
FH is wearing a white dress shirt and khaki shorts and I'm wearing jeans and a white shirt as well.

I also took my e-pics at the Lindenhurst location and we were'nt given a choice.
They take the same e-pics with every client. They shoot about 12 pictures in about 3-5 minutes and only of the faces. I thought we were going to use some of the nice props they had int he studio so I got all dressed up - not worth it. After the 3-5 minutes you have to wait about 20 minutes before you see your pictures on a computer. You pic out one you what as an 10x10 and go home. I wanted all the pictures, so I had to pay an extra $50 for 5x5.
