ADVICE PLEASE....(REPOST)

I need all of your help with the next dilema of my bridesmaid drama! Yep it's the best friend again! She has written again to my sister complaining about only afford and can give $100! BUT---She still wants to help, but only when it's convient for her! She told my sister she can only do it M-F after work and it has to be in Islip not Shirley, no Saturdays and ONLY Sundays in the afternoon! That to me is unacceptable! Both families decided to one shower instead of splitting it up! But because of her now we can't to that. And she was complaining over $80 more!! My FSIL is 5 months pregnant and she is fed up with her! She has a mortgage and bills to pay with a kid on the way and she can come up with the money vs my bestfriend whos on her own and tells me she can only give $100 toward the shower and that is it! When my other friend had to drop out because she couldn't afford it, my best friend complanined and was mad she did that to me. My best friend told me that she was wrong to do that and she knew it was going to be expensive with being in a wedding. So right now she is being a hypocrite! Everyone is so ticked off at her, everyone is stressing over her and I don't think it's worth it.

I do believe that as the wedding gets closer she will cause more problems for all of us! I have not seen her since Feb when we went to order the BM dresses. She kept telling me we would get to together but wouldn't follow through with it. She came out to Shirley this weekend and I never heard from her. You would think after not seeing her bestfriend for 4 months you would think she would want to see me. I don't think it is just a money issue..I think it is something else. We have been best friends for 18 years. I don't understand any of this. BUT, it's okay for her to spend $600 for another friends bridal shower last year and it wasn't even a close friend.

I am stressed over this. Pissed off over this, and cranky all the time. I think it would be best if I relieve her of her duties as a bridesmaid. I plan on writing her to find out what is going on. I don't think I am going to get a straight answer. My dad has told me not to let her ruin my wedding day..and take in to consideration that she will be in all the photos and I will have to look at them for the rest of my life! I guess it's true, you really find out who your true friends really are!!

I wanted to see what you ladies thought!!!

Advice Please!!!!!

You posted about this too many times. Maybe it's time you just give her the boot.

You don't need all the drama in your life during an already stressful time. Just tell her you think it's in everyone's best interest including hers that she no longer be in the bridal party.

Re: ADVICE PLEASE....(REPOST)

I think your BM is telling you in certain ways that she is 1) either jealous of you and/or 2) does not want to be a BM. Sorry...I'm not saying this to hurt your feelings...there's just too much very obvious resistance on her part...I think you already know that you would be better off relieving her of her BM duties. There is so much stress planning a wedding and your BP is supposed to be helping you relieve some of it (or at least try), not creating more!!!! JMO...

The best thing I can do is relieve her but then I know the friendship will be over. She paid $100 for a down deposit and I will be dammed if I will give her $100 back for the dress..she created this not ME!!!!
