I've really been involved in wedding planning and I feel like I haven't been the best friend to my best friends. One of my friends just underwent jaw surgery and her jaw has to be tightened down for SIX WEEKS. She is so amazing and coming to my birthday dinner tomorrow night - but I have yet to visit her or come baring gifts for her. Does anyone have any ideas what I could do for her???? I feel like i've been a bad friend....i'm thinking of giving her a basket filled with ice packs and eye pillows, advils,...?

I feel like I have been a bad friend also to some of my friends. I would send her a spa get well basket with candles and lotions...telling her that you have been thinking about her.

Of course she's coming to your birthday celebration and I'm sure she understands how hectic things are for you right now. Give her lots of attention tomorrow at your dinner, give her a seat of honor next to you, make plans to get together with her before the wedding.

If she's taking time off from work or can't really go out much, also get her a ton of magazines and maybe some cheesey, easy reading books
