Here goes. I called a head hunter about 2 weeks ago to let her know that I was still looking for a new position. She called me yesterday and said that she had a co that maybe interested in meeting with me. She just called me they want to meet me tomorrow or Friday b/c they are going on vacation next week. I am totaly unprepared. I dont have an interview outfit coz my fat azz has gotten to big. Tomorrow would really be the better day but I have to get blood work done. aghhghghgh what to I do.
I guess I just want to vent.

Any way you can take a detour after work to a store to do a little shopping?

Yeah I can but I am a plus size and I have been looking on and off since I talked to her. I cant find anything that is interview suitable. No one carries plus size suits anymore.

Does Lane Bryant cary any suits or formal pieces?
I think you can definitely find something at Macy's - they have an entire Women's Department and carry INC.

I was going to suggest this... tell the recruiter that you can't wear a suit to work, business casual works a lot of the time.

I interview for my department & it is usually entry level & I do get annoyed when people are underdressed, but I think a blazer & skirt or pants ( not nec. a whole matching suit) is fine, but it depends on the postition.
I was in the same situation withmy current job. I was unemployed a the time though, so at 3 pm, when I was called to come in the next day, I drove to teh Broadway mall & luckily fouind something in casual corner right away ( but I was much smaller then!) & then went back out after dinner to payless to get shoes! I have wide feet--it is hard for me to find shoes.
I was so caught off guard.

Good luck!!
I think slacks & a blouse would be fine in a pinch.

I think it depends on what kind of company and position you are interviewing for. Appearances mean alot for example if you are in a sales role, so you might want to run out quick and pick up something. Plus if you look good, you will feel good and this will help boost your confidence! Good Luck!!!
ETA: Sorry I didn't realize you were having trouble finding something. I would hit the department stores, they ususally have a better selection.

Its for a supervisors position so I feel like I need to be dressed up. Oh well they are going to have to deal with me in pants and a button down shirt.

Okay, then I would say do your best to find a blazer if you can't do a suit.
Again, GOOD LUCK!!!

where are you located? I know in the city there is Avenue and the one with Casual Corner (I think August Max?). But any dept store should have something for you.

Any luck? What about Boltons? Formans? Daffy's? (I'm thinking of everything in the Grand Central area)
I'm not sure what size you need but I'm pretty sure Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor Loft carry up to size 16s.
