Hey just trying to get some ideas down on paper to check out in the near future. Can anyone recommend a DJ for $1,000 or under. I'm only having about 60 guests for an afternoon wedding. I need them to do my ceremony, CH and reception. I would really like a light show and the dancing on a cloud effect for our first dance but I know that's probably not reasonable with my budget. So far I've gotten prices from Supermix DJ's, FM entertainment, and Elegancia. Need some more options. Thanks!!

Definitely check out VJ Entertainment...he's a vendor here and very reasonable.

Vinny at High Voltage and Frank with FM entertainment were definitely the most affordable I've found- can't go wrong with either one!!

Try After Hours Entertainment and Sound Choice. I haven't seen too many reviews on them, but I think they're reasonably priced.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions!! I've contacted some of the DJ's mentioned and found a handful that would be able to do my wedding for $1,000 or under. One even said they would do a 1 man ceremony, CH and reception with basic lighting and the dance on a cloud for our first dance for $1,000. I'm starting to compile a list of vendors to check out in my price range for the near future.

check out Tommy's Tunes...they're amazing and have SO many different packages for every budget AND they can toy with the packages based on what u can afford...give 'em a call...they'll definetly work with u :)

I used Vinny from High Voltage on Sunday. He did my ceremony, CH and reception for under $1000. I didn't ask about light show or dancing on a cloud b/c those weren't things I was interested in at all. However the way my ceremony & reception were configured, Vinny had to set up in 3 completely different locations. He did an awesome job!!!

I would check out Ralph from High Energy! I booked him for under $1000 I am getting more for my money than what Vinny offered. HTH
