After putting down deposits on the reception hall and photography, I really can't afford another major down payment! But I still need to book a DJ ASAP.
Any recommendations for DJs that are either very affordable or don't require a hefty deposit? TIA.

Depends on what you've budgeted for a DJ.
LI Sound 4-hour reception I think was $1,500. We added stuff on so I'm not sure. If I remember correctly the deposit was $500, which I put on my credit card.

we used In the Mix DJ we only had to put like $50 down and the rest was due the night of the wedding. They did an amazing job and are so helpful in the planning process

I would check out High Voltage Sounds. The package prices are very reasonable. You need to leave $100 deposit and the rest is not due until the wedding.

I know that Just for the Record DJ's have good prices. As for the down payment, I am not sure. He may work with you. Elliot, the owner, is a really nice guy. Good Luck!

SGE only wants a $100.00 deposit and the rest paid the night of the wedding.
I am paying them all along to get it over with. You have that option too. They even take a 100.00 a month if you want.
