Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows other Dj's that are in the same ballbark as FM entertainment - I may book with Frankie but would feel better looking at other companies - TommyTunes and Body Rock are just way too expensive for our budget.
Anyone have pricing from starlight or LI sound? Or anyone else you can recommend.
We had the owner, Steve. Everyone thought they did a great job, there was nothing cheesy, and they really stuck to our requests. (I think my mom demanded the conga line that I asked him not to play - I can't blame him for momzilla!)

We're using Then til Now in Lindenhurst. Steve (the owner) is very nice and it was a good price!

We used Just for the Record-they were a Flowerfield recommended vendor and we were so happy with them!! They were so laid back and everyone danced the whole night!!!

JR Wired for Sound did a pretty good job at my sister's wedding a couple years ago. They're probably one of the cheapest I found, but they're not THAT much less than Tommy Tunes. Maybe 2 or 300 dollars less?
I'm using an old acquaintance tho who actually does very well with DJ/MC work. Even without the 'friendship discount' he's still less than most others I've found and he really makes it personal. Getting to know the couple as well as they're like and dislikes. So I'm happy!!
I can't believe how much DJs charge for only 4 hours tho! Whatever - they're not all that.

Oh yeah, and a friend of mine (who's getting married 2 months before me) is using Joe Smiles Entertainment. I'm not sure exactly what they charge, but I know she's on a budget like me so I can't imagine it's CRAZY. They're probably worth checking out though, if you haven't found anyone yet.

We booked with In the Mix DJs - very affordable and we were given a discount when we dropped a name of someone else that used them

I used Vinny from High VOltage and was very happy. He is a great person and his prices are incredible
