Newly engaged, and just starting the wedding planning craze. Any suggestions for affordable halls for 2012 that will not kill our budget? We are thinking a winter wedding. Thanks!!

Re: Affordable Halls
Try Coral House, if it is off season you can probably get that price but that would be before tax and tip
Dante's in Queens can also do that price

Re: Affordable Halls
I second leonards... they quoted us about 53pp for peak time... so I cant imagine what they could do for off-peak. Also I hear V-E-R-D-I-S of whitestone has good prices...

love how you wrote v-e-r-d-i's... (thanks).. but yea, I'm a v-e-r-d-i's bride, but I'm in westbury. I'd say give them a try, also coral house (our #2 choice)
also try some package deal places, they say its $100/pp... but its actually less if you look at it from a price per PLATE. because the packages come with limo, flowers, photography, etc. so you'll be saving a lot..
try manor east in massapequa, brentwood cc, med. manor, ariana waterfalls... i know there's one more.. douglaston manor??
also if you click here there's a list of halls with ESTIMATED prices.
you'll get good rates because you want a winter wedding.
btw- welcome to the boards!

Re: Affordable Halls
Chateau La Mer in Lindenhurst...I think you will get a very reasonable rate in the winter and it is beauitful! You could even take some pics outside near the water in the winter and I think it would be amazing!!

Re: Affordable Halls
We got Miller Place Inn for a 4 hr buffet including cocktail hr for $39.99 pp - a Friday night in March. I think it was fairly reasonable for a full 5 hr sit down, too.
Good luck!
