Affordable Hawaii Honeymoon

anyone know of an affordable hawaii honeyoom vacation...been looking only see very expensive ones

A cruise around Hawaii is much more afforable than syaing at the hotels. That may be an option.

I found a lot under that amount on www.expedia.com...mostly in Maui, nice hotels, about 7-8 nights, about $4000 or so with air...

Hawaii is beautiful... I was there in 1997 only b/c my parent's received a free ticket through their business and my mom didn't want to go so my dad gave me his ticket... that is the only way I could have afforded to go. To be honest, as much as I'd love to go back for my honeymoon (I only got to see Maui, would love to do some island hopping one day when we are wealthy), being the travel time (very long flights) and the expense I'm looking at places like Curacao, Aruba and if I'm really courageous about traveling far, far away, maybe Tahiti may even be a little less financially painful. I have to stay with the pacific or any place not in the hurricane belt b/c I'm getting married in the fall. I will tell you that Hawaii is an expensive place to be... beautiful and it is paradise, but it is very expensive even once you get there for places you may want to see and such. Hope you have a fabulous time wherever you end up going.

Gosh.... I wish Hawaii was affordable. We just went there for our HM and spent a fortune. Hawaii is not cheap. To do anything there cost $$$. Looking back, I think you can save $$$ if you stay in a hotel that is not a popular chain (Hyatt, etc) and not beach front property.

GO TO A TRAVEL AGENT>.....#1. Find out if they ahve been to Hawaii. Looks ofr A Hawaiian Specialist. They will help you.

Let them do all the work.. That is what they are there for...

you can go for under $5000, but the hotels are not going to be that great. maybe you want to try staying in small inns and B&Bs.

Check out www.bedandbreakfast.com

they have B&Bs all over the world. Most of them go for $199-$299 a night. That is pretty good considering some of the hotels are going for $675pp/ night.

PS, in Hawaii ( Maui and Kauai and most of the other islands you will need a car.
