I am new to the site and this is my first post. I'm hoping someone will have some information for me. I am looking for a Photographer for my wedding next spring and I am on a strict budget. I know it's not that much but I can only spend $1000-$1500 at most on my photographer. We are having a morning/afternoon wedding and I am looking for a basic package but I am really loving the photo journalist/documentary style of wedding photography. Does anyone have any good recommendations in this price range? The cheapest I have been quoted is $1800. Thanks so much.

Hi Brides to be.
I am new to the site and this is my first post. I'm hoping someone will have some information for me. I am looking for a Photographer for my wedding next spring and I am on a strict budget. Not sure about the price, but a coworker used David's Bridal photography because she said they were really affordable- She has 4 kids and her budget was tight, so maybe they are in the 1k-1500 range
David's bridal will probably be the best way for you to go. Again like you mentioned, $1850 is the cheapest I have EVER heard just for a photographer for the day. Maybe try using an up and coming photographer?
hopefully this helps! :)

Contact Scott from Red Sweatshirt Photography. He had a package in that range and does the photo-journalistic style. Plus he's super nice!

I think Gil from Fade to Black is very reasonable and probably in that price range. If you tell him your budget he'll work around it.

Is that budget for prints and albums and stuff or just the photographer's time and a high-res CD/DVD of the pictures?
Depending on how many hours you need, try Kevin Markland at Markland Photography. He does photojournalism and is extremely talented. He's newer to the business, so his prices may be more reasonable than others, but his photos are still spectacular.
