Does any know any reasonably priced photographers? I am looking for packages starting between $1000 - $1500 (without albums). I am mostly interested in photojournalistic style with black and whites, lots of candids and only some posed shots.

CHECK OUT DUET, I KNOW THEY HAVE A PACKAGE THAT DOESN'T INCLUDE ALBUMS FOR AROUND $1200. HERE IS THERE WEBSITE
THEY DO TRADITIONAL, CANDID AND PHOTOJOURNALISM. I KNOW IN THERE PACKAGES THEY INCLUDE 2 PHOTOGRAPHERS - NOT SURE IF THE $1200 INCLUDES 2 BUT YOU CAN SEE WHAT THEY HAVE. Twelfth Night will definitely do that. We are very very close to booking them. Dominic is just the coolest guy, and more into the photography than hawking expensive albums.

I checked into twelfth night, because I loved their web site, but what scared me off, is he gives ya teh negatives and then I think you would do them yourself, you would save a ton of money, but then how do teh pictures get preserved and touched up? That was teh only reason I didnt go with them..it scared me.

My package with patken is 2400, but Im getting alot, with an album..maybe call them and tell them your budget, they are very reasonable in prices and Im sure would work with you. They do traditional, photojournalisic..I also found a place that sells the wedding albums for about 80 bucks..so you can do it that way and make yoru own album. Patken also gives ya the negatives if thats part of yoru deal//and then you could make your own pics!
