Affordable places for an e-party

Wondering if anyone had any suggestions for an affordable place for an e-party. preferably a place that we didn't need to hire a DJ (maybe a restaurant that already has music playing or something like that)
if you could FM me prices, that would be great. I need a place that can hole about 70 people though (thats the catch!)

Thanks in advance for the help girls!

Not sure where you're looking. Blackwells in Wading River is really nice.

Coral House quoted me $35 pp plus gratuity for an engagement party dinner with 5 passed hors d'oeuvres and a 4 four course dinner. They should also be able to accomodate your size party.

We just did a backyard party but it was awesome! FMIL has a big backyard, she rented tents, hired waitstaff, catered some of the food and the rest she and other family cooked, FBIL brought speakers and used the party music station on cable lol (we were planning to use an ipod but this didn't happen). I dont' know what she spent but everyone had a really good time and we didn't have to worry about the 'head count'.

Not sure if you are looking to have it on LI only, but Vetro (Russo's on the Bay restaurant in Howard beach) is perfect for an e-party. We had ours in November and there isn't one bad thing I could say. It was perfect! We had 85 people in our own room. There is an IPOD player if you want or they have their own music.

We had our engagement party at the Milleridge Inn in Jericho. It was amazing and very reasonably priced. They also have built-in speakers to most of the rooms, so we just made a playlist on our ipod and played that.
They were very accomodating and the food was excellant.

We had ours at Waterzooi in Garden City. They have catering menus and prices on their website. They only do afternoon weekend parties, however.

Blue in Blue Point, its really nice and they are affordable. I had mine there and I had about 75 people. You don't need a DJ, they have music playing throughout the rooms
