after 31 years

my sister left her husband yesterday. she was very un happy, she said she does not even know why she stayed so long. I feel so bad for them both. that it has come to this. there children are grown but they are taken the news badly. I hate for this all to be happening around the holidays. I even suggested they take a mini vacation to talk and they said NO, it is over I feel like after 31 years is there really nothing left to say, or save. I love them both dearly and it broke my heart to hear my brother -in- law cry. my sister is actually ok, I think her finally leaving lifted a big weight off her. ok I just needed to vent this. thanks for reading.

i hate hearing stuff like that So sorry. I don't know their situation, but I really wish they weren't giving up on their commitment to each other - esp after all these years. That's why FH & I always say that divorce is not even an OPTION. If we're ever having problems in our future, we're going to have to work them out - even if that means going to a marriage counselor or speaking with a Pastor, or just going on a vacation together. I just feel like all marriages have their share of problems, what makes it a good marriage though is your ability to get through it.

I hope everything goes okay for your sister, brother-in-law, and their children (even as adults, it still hurts)

i'm so sorry to hear about this. but unfortunately sometimes people have to make this tough decisions in order to really be happy. i wish them all the best of luck during this difficult adjustment
