She called me and told me that she feels terrible that I am not happy with her and this has never happened to her.
I don't know...I felt bad. And, I really don't feel like looking for another DOC. She sent me the template for the day-of, and it is very detailed....I just wish she had sent it sooner.
One thing that annoyed me during our phone conversation...she proceeded to tell me how '80% of her clients tip her and give her more money than she expects'. Wrong thing to say to me....does she honestly think that after all of this I'm going to tip her??? Why would she even mention that?
I think our personalities just clash a bit...but I'm going to keep her. Hopefully all turns out well!!

her telling you about 80% of her clients tipping her is tacky, IMO. you're paying her a lot to do a job, tipping is NOT a necessity!

This is a tough one cause she seems quite cocky to me.

Not sure what I'd do, probably stick with the person, but she really should not even tell you what her other clients do, if it is even true!

Feel her out for a few weeks and if you're still unsure drop her.

All I have to say is that we have intuition for a reason. There is something to be said about a gut feeling. I would hate for you to regret anything later on...should something bad happen on your day, do you think she will take action? She does sound cocky to me too...and that's a horrible trait for a DOC. In all honesty, especially with the comment about tipping, if it was me I would drop her.

yes, I think she will take action if something goes wrong on my wedding day....I just don't think I'll be recommending her to anyone else. at this point I'm confident that she will do whatever she can to keep me happy...she knows how upset I am. anyway, i completely understand where some of you are coming from...it was a tough decision to make (to keep her), but we discussed a lot of things, and I think everything is going to be ok
