Did you hug/kiss your family first, or walk back up the aisle first? Or something else?

Re: After being pronounced man & wife
We walked down the aisle first and then started the receiving line, but that was what my priest told us to do otherwise he said we would never make it down the aisle just the two of us.

Re: After being pronounced man & wife
we walked back up the aisle, and kind of stopped in the doorway of the church and did the receiving line as all the guests were walking out. i'm really glad we did the receiving line at church, because that way we didn't feel like we had to go around to all the tables at the reception to say hi to everybody, and we were able to just enjoy dancing and having fun...

we plan on sprinting out of there to get to the food!!! hee.
i never thought about it which means likely, we are just going to walk out and then take a few minutes to ourselves.

we stopped gave our parents hug/kiss than proceeded down the aisle and had the receiving line. we didnt plan on stopping but when I saw my parents faces I just had to hug them.

We did that but our private moment pretty much consisted of me going to the bathroom and taking off my veil. We were really hungry and wanted our pigs (franks - no actual pigs here) in blankets ASAP!

do they say the words as 'man and wife'?

I think you can have your vows however you want them, I like husband and wife.

yeah husband and wife is better than man and wife. kind of makes you think, he is a man and i am a what- a wife?? sounds uneven.

We walked straight up the aisle and off to the 'yacht' that was waiting for us.

We hugged and kissed our family that was under the chuppah with us (parents and siblings) then we walked up the aisle.
