After Hours Brides who used uplighting

We are using After Hours for our DJ and I have started to consider uplighting. I'm nervous the room will be a little too dark and pictures will come out dark. I know candels can help a little bit but not that much.

Any past brides care to weigh in on their uplighting packages?? What colors - how many lights??
