Well today is my cousins wedding and my DH is the best man. The Groom decided to get his tuxedos from After Hours since there was one located in Staten Island and the other in Roosevelt field. From the beginning the service was horrible. When my DH went to get his fitting he was waiting for 30 mins until the salesperson got off a personal phonecall. They are not helpful at all. When they went to pick up the tuxedos the vest came all wrong but they had no choice since they do not do tailoring on the premises or have anything in stock. Just now the Groom called complaing that the vest broke from the back and eveyone is now running around to fix it.
We had told the Groom from the beginning but he felt he had no choice but to stick with them. We had also advised him on doing it with the tuxedo place that we had done everything for our wedding. Since we had a great experience with them and have rented many tuxedos for diff erent occasions.
Just letting you ladies know that our experience with After Hours has been horrible.

WOW--that stinks...sorry! That's weird because my brother was just in my cousin's wedding in CT and they used AFter Hours and I went with him to the Roosevelt Field store one afternoon for him to get measured and they were great to deal with-they even last minute changed the 'location' of the pick up of the tux from CT to Long Island. I guess it all just depends---sorry your experience was yucky

I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience. My FH was in a wedding about 2 years ago and used them and the guys had no problems with the Roosevelt Field store.

Lord I hope not!! We had to find a place that could accommodate a groom in Washington, DC, and groomsmen from all over the place...After Hours seemed to be our best bet and we already placed the order. Now I'm getting scared...!

I had a fine experience with them (as stated above) and DH's is going tom. to pick up a tux (Roosevelt Field) for his friend's wedding this weekend...if he has problems I will let you know. The groom told DH his name wasn't registered when he called the store in SI but DH called Roosevelt Field and they said he was...so hopefully he will be safe.
