After Hours v. Mens Wearhouse

Have any of you used either company for tuxedos?

I'm trying to figure out which has a better selection of suits.

I just know that we won't be using After Hours...I just went to my friend's wedding on Saturday and almost all the guys in the wedding had some sort of problem with their tuxes, nothing major just fitting problems. The tuxes did look great though.

I have heard terrible things about After Hours but now I heard you can rent black shirts there but not at Mens Wearhouse....I'm confused too!

I went yesterday to after hours and they told me that mens wearshouse is buying after hours, but if you have contract with after hours that contract will be transfer to mens wearhouse with the same price and everything you had ask.

We are using After Hours and haven't had any problems so far. I have people getting tuxes from other states and they haven't had any problems either.

I'm using Mens Wearhouse, it's been very good so far, but I can let you know for sure how it goes next week.

I'm not too sure about After Hours. My friend had a bad experience with them for her wedding last week (the tuxes weren't in on time!). Also I looked there first, FH and I stood in the store for about 10 minutes (the one in the Source mall), actually walked up to the counter and said 'excuse me' and not one of the people who worked there offered to help us! I couldn't believe it! We walked out of the store unnoticed! I couldn't believe the poor customer service.

One of my GM used mens warehouse and had a great experiance with them!

we used mens wearhouse and everything was fine and my parents lives in FL and he didn't have a problem going to one down there and having the store up here know what he needs and his tux is already in.

When we went to After Hours, we were pretty much ingnored. So we left after about 15 minutes.

Then we went to Mens Warehouse & they did not have anything for FH to try on. He picked out stuff from their book (which is how you order) & then told them we woul dbe back because I forgot to bring the swatch to match the vests to my girls dresses. In the end i decided not to go back because FH & I both wanted him to be able to try on the tuxes.

It is similar to our dresses, would you have ordered your dress without trying on a sample first? A tux may look on a model in a book, but that does not mean that it will look good on FH.

We ended up going to RSVP Tuxedos, which is who we used when FH went to my prom with me. We had a good experience with them.

I am so happy we went there. We got FH tux for free, our Jr. Groomsman's tux for Free (we are not having a ringbearer) & $50 off my Dad's Tux.

As for our 2 GM in FL, they gave us a small envelop/form to mail to them for their measurements. They can go to any tuxedo place to be mearsured & then they mail the measurements directly to RSVP Tuxedos.

JMO though! HTH!!

I hear so many bad things about after hours. if your girls are wearing david's bridal and you want to match go there. if not I'd skip it. I hope things get better by next year.

with after hours though it seems just to be alterations/fittings. maybe the people there aren't taught how to measure correctly.

We used Men's Wearhouse. Check out my review.

I don't recommend After Hours at all, and they didn't work for us as well location wise.

MW, however, does not have tuxes to try on, you have to choose from a picture.

My brother was just in a wedding and they used Mens Wearhouse. He had no problems. He actually lives in North Carolina so he went to a Mens Wearhouse there adn they sent his measurements to NY and his tux fit perfectly when he picked it up!
